Lamb Shanks with Hoisin Sauce

For a leaner lamb option, lamb shanks are a great pick. Instead of the traditional mint jelly, try my homemade hoisin sauce. It can be paired with the side of your choice – like egg noodles, edamame or mashed potatoes!

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Sear shanks on all sides on grill or sauté pan for approximately 5 minutes. Place in baking dish.
2. Combine all ingredients for sauce and pour over lamb. Cover tightly and bake for 3 ½ – 4 hours at 325 F, turning occasionally until meat is tender. Serve lamb with sauce, garnish with cilantro and serve over egg noodles.
